On September 19, The Women Veterans Civic Leadership Institute kicked off its Fall Civic Leadership Lecture Series with a powerful welcome message by Pennsylvania State Representative Leslie Acosta (District 197), and an empowering discussion on “Advocacy: Turning Your Passion into Action” with Michelle Esser of Young Survival Coalition, and a dialogue on “Women In Public Leadership” with Philadelphia Judge Timika Lane.
To deliver the Women Veterans Civic Leadership Institute Fall Lecture Series, Women Veterans ROCK! has partnered with Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, a member of the Post-9/11 GI Bill Yellow Ribbon Program, and established an enduring partnership with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, an international sorority that works to educate the public, assist youth, provide scholarships, support organized charities, and promote legislation for social and civic change.
The Fall Lecture Series will be offered monthly on Saturdays, running from nine o’clock in the morning to four o’clock in the afternoon in Martino Hall 216 at Chestnut Hill College.
